Oma HelpingHands Foundation

Oma HelpingHands Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Texas, serving as a bridge between compassionate donors and life-changing projects in Nigeria. We direct resources with transparency and integrity, ensuring every contribution creates a measurable impact for communities facing poverty, exclusion, and crisis.

Our U.S. team focuses on funding, fundraising, and accountability, while our field team in Nigeria leads hands-on implementation—building clean water systems, supporting children’s education, empowering women and youth, promoting disability inclusion, and responding to emergencies.

Every child deserves a chance to learn. Every woman deserves the tools to thrive. Every community deserves dignity and hope. With your partnership, compassion becomes action—and together, we create change that lasts.

Iyegwu Solar-Powered Water Project

In December 2024, Oma HelpingHands Foundation installed a solar-powered borehole in Iyegwu, Kogi State—bringing lasting relief to a community that had long struggled without safe water. For years, families, especially women and children, walked several miles daily to fetch water from unsafe sources.

The new system now provides clean, reliable water directly within the community, improving health outcomes and transforming daily life. More than 200 households—over 1,000 people—now have safe drinking water, significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.

Women and girls no longer bear the burden of long, unsafe journeys to collect water, allowing them to focus on education, work, and family life. This project demonstrates how compassion, faith, and partnership can create lasting change—turning hope into tangible impact.
